Who we are

Half Life is published by VOL Collective, 305 Broadway, Suite 712, New York, NY 10007. Questions about this policy or your data go to hailey.carson@halflifemag.com.

What we collect

When you sign up for the newsletter we collect your email address. It is stored by our email provider, Kit (kit.com), and used only to send you the newsletter. If you email us, we keep your message and your address so we can reply.

Like any website, our server records basic technical details when a page is requested: your IP address, your browser, the page and the time. We use these logs to keep the site secure and working, not to build profiles of readers.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Advertisers and partners never receive our subscriber list or anything about individual readers; sponsored newsletter modules are sent by us.

How long we keep it

Your email address stays on the newsletter list until you unsubscribe, and we delete it from Kit on request. Server logs are kept for no more than 30 days. Messages to the editors are kept while they are useful for the story or correction they concern, and for no longer than two years.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from any email with one click, and you can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Write to hailey.carson@halflifemag.com and we will reply within 30 days. We honour these requests wherever you live.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email address, we will tell newsletter subscribers first.
